The artist invited participants to collaborate in a unique, site-specific art installation in which the processes of conversing, movement and making were equal parts of the piece. Using recycled saris, offcuts of fabrics and ribbons dyed with vegetable dyes, Maymana led the group in the co-creation of a large woven tapestry. Participants slowed down through the tactile, soft art of textiles, creating space for rest and restoration, joy, and creativity. The artist guided conversations about our interconnectedness, how our struggles are shared and ways to weave together our paths of liberation.
